A lovely weekend in LA, and... Happy birthdays to us!

OK, so this took place on the 9th, but I it took me till today - right smack between our two birthdays - to write the very honest tale of seeing Mr.Superlungs for the first time ever. It was well worth the drive from Arizona to LA and then back (through Palm Springs - they have Crazy Shirts there, yay!)

Oh wow, I didn't realise you were going out to see Terry. It sounds wonderful. I haven't been to a small club performance in a long time, but it's so... powerful, intimate, being that close to a performer.

Thanks! It was the best birthday present ever. His birthday was on Nov 13th but a musician friend of his died just the day before (Mitch Mitchell, you might know... they did a gig recently with Terry and Mick Taylor) so probably wasn't that happy.
You know where the news about the gig first turned up? - at Last.fm of all places! I've been a lot there as of late...
You're right about small clubs...
and I wouldn't mind getting much closer to that particular performer:)
