Danny tells Chin it's a Dear Danny letter. For Danny, there are only two people who can use that endearment and as much as he likes Chin, he isn't about to let anyone else call him "Danno" or even refer to him as "Danno"--it's all kinds of cute if you ask me :)

Oh, absolutely. He wouldn't have told Chin it was addressed to "Danno." Very cute.

Plus, how does Steve just walk away from the state run task force he leads to go on this personal quest?

I was wondering that myself. After the number of times Steve has been beaten up, run over, etc. this season, I'm pretty sure he doesn't have any sick days left. ;-) And the governor has not shown himself to be a big Steve fan so far, so I can't imagine him just saying, "Sure, take all the time you need doing whatever you want. Come back to work when you can spare the time." Okay, actually I can see him saying that, but it would be dripping liberally with sarcasm.

Really! Although he did pardon Steve and overlook the fact that he escaped from jail and beat up a cop or two in so doing, he's never been a big fan of "full immunity and means," has he? But we're not supposed to think about that.

I suppose that what's going to happen is that Steve is or isn't going to find Joe, but he will at least find and bring Wo Fat back. Not that I think it's going to totally conclude the Wo Fat story line (I think they kept that going for 9 years in the original series) but it doesn't look as though they plan to have much go wrong for Steve on this particular trip. I know they had to do it because of AOL, and after all the trouble Steve's gotten into this season, it would be overkill to have him get hurt much on this quest, but he'll sure look lucky to come home without a single bruise, don't you think? I know they probably had to think fast to explain his absence but it does pose some problems that, as usual, we're not supposed to think about.

Yeah, they've already done the 'Steve gets horribly tortured by Wo Fat' thing this season, but I can't see Steve just strolling back with Wo Fat in tow like he'd just popped out for a gallon of milk either. That would be a bit anticlimactic after 2 seasons of build-up.

And I really hope that Steve doesn't being Joe back with him. I am all Joed out at the moment.

Yes, it would be anticlimactic to just bring Wo Fat back. Some posters have been saying they don't want the Wo Fat storyline to be finished up "so soon" -- and I don't think it's going to be. Even if Steve does manage to capture him, who says he's going to stay in custody? If he could get into a prison to kill Hesse, he could certainly manage to escape. The original series kept the Wo Fat thing going for 9 years, IIRC.

As for Joe, I'm with you. That got tiresome.

NCIS's ME does the liver-temp at the scene aprox time of death thing. I totally felt the same way you about Max during the confrontation and that low-key was the way to go!

Okay, I couldn't think of an example where that had been done at the scene. What do they do -- stick a thermometer into the liver somehow? Up the dead person's butt? They don't seem to actually show the procedure, probably for good reason.

Yeah, Max's reactions were really good. Underplaying was the way to go. Thanks for responding to my post!

Yep, it's a long thermometer into the liver - never shown in detail but you can get the gist of it.
