That is completely loathsome, and what's more, while the public will surely vilify this man, he will probably eventually be portrayed as a victim of excessive vitriol upon him.

I'm truly disgusted by this turn of events, and I pray that you find the righteous vengeance you seek, be it seeing that the state never let a crime as heinous as this slip through the cracks again, or by finding a way to(legally) effect serious consequences upon him.
