I am posting from work, this is a first, as I've never had a chance to do something like this before.  One, I don't have internet access at work.  I'm on another login.  Second, I usually have a lot to do.  That could change in a moment, but for now I am uninterrupted.

Jaime, It was so good to see a post from you here. I almost never look on here anymore because just about everybody I know has gone to myspace. But anyway. I know about a unit getting too big to manage. We added two beds, which added more nurses, then they opened a trauma step down unit that we are supposed to staff, but don't have the staff for. Right now it's open and being staffed as high level med/surg by the float pool. Eventually we will have to staff it though.

I know that Marta was thinking about going to the reunion. I figured that I'm close enough that I can decide when it gets closer. Whether or not I got I can still get together with people. But if people go I will go.

I'm rambling I know. Oh by the way, happy birthday! 27 is such a boring age. I will be just after you. I will be glad not to be 26 anymore though, it was a very tough year for me.

Well this is turning into a book instead of a comment, so I will stop now. Will talk to you later.

B-day and other stuff!

Hey, thanks for the b-day gift (and nurses day card)! I was so suprised! Thanks! Yeah, I started looking into plane fares and stuff for the reunion last night. VERY expensive, much more than what it was when we were there. I used to pay $209 for a ticket to LVA, now it's $393, at the cheapest, with 2 stops on the way there! (give me a break, the flight is 1.5 hours nonstop, I don't want to spend the whole day in airports) The nonstop flight is over $450 a person. Then there's hotel, food, and the events at CCC. I just can't swing it this year. I have so many things to do to the house. We need to replace our kitchen/hallway/laundry room floor, for one thing. That will be very expensive. But anyway...I would LOVE to meet up at Cedar Point! Much cheaper, no plane- save $900! LoL. Of course we would leave Scarlett at my mom's house. We will have to talk on the phone, get that figured out. They have this good package deal at the park that I've used before, if you want to talk about hotel options there. ttyl!

You totally should do a DITL! Even if you just post it here! I think I'm going to do one Saturday.

I'm probably not going to the 5 year reunion. Besides - I haven't heard anything about it! I guess I'm no longer on the mailing list.

remember? you're a "lost" student! lol. I did send you address in, but maybe they were dumb and didn't get it? I dunno. I also sent my address in so they would quit sending stuff to my mom's house, but they're still sending it there. I'll have to look into that soon. I'll try doing a DITL again. what would you like to see? I work 3 days a week, midnights, so I have some days that involve work and others that completely don't. Of course being a hospital there's so much confidentiality there would only be some close-ups of a few things.

I'd just like to see your day. You don't have to focus on too many pictures at work. I usually do about 20 pictures, and when I do it on a work day 2-5 (5 tops) are work related. I just like seeing pictures!! :) I'd love to see more of your house with all your stuff. Do a DITL in the theme of inviting me to see you! :D

Now I'm really lost. Aww. Too bad. They stopped sending stuff to my parents house too when they declared me lost, so I don't even know who to contact.

Guess what! I did a DITL! Now I have to figure out how to get the pics to the computer...I'm working on that right now, then it will probably take me about a week to post it! But, I did actually do one!

Hey, I just replied to a comment Laurie made on my LJ. I can't afford to go to the reunion...sadly. I just looked up airfares last night, the cheapest I could find was $393/person, and that's with 2 stops in between! The flight is only 1.5 hours nonstop, so that is crazy! I can't see spending all day in airports to get that far, and I can't see driving 10+ hours with a baby either. :( I really wish I could, but I have house repairs to make this year and can't swing a trip that would be about $1600 total.
