Wonderful screencaps, although in the first Ian looks almost like a stranger. The expression of his face is extremely versatile.

As to your teacher not telling you that you have talent: I think teachers don't want to say so - even if they are convinced you are the next Edith Evans - because they fear that you will rely on your talents and not work hard anymore.

Yes he does look strange on the first pic, but he didn't smile one second in that video.

First I thought you were right about the teacher thing, but then I remembered all the teachers that told me that I've got a great drawing talent. But maybe you can't compare acting and drawing in that way. I don't know.

Sounds like you are definate about your career, I didn't have that choice ended up going straight to work....years later I'm still at work but Uni part time.

Well I sound definate, but I'm scared as hell. I'm still thinking about what I should do if I fail, and I don't know what I should do and that's why I'm scared. I don't want to end up unemployed, especially because nobody would expect that of me as I'm one of the best students of my year (which means I work very hard for high marks so to get a well-payed job shouldn't be too hard for me). This last thing may sound arrogant but I hope you know I don't really mean it like that (and they're not my thoughts anyway but the thoughts of the teachers etc.)
