Hi! I heard about this community last week while perusing a Lit GRE website. Now that the subject test is out of the way, I want to work on my personal statement, which, like many people , I’ve been putting off. How do I add an attachment so it doesn't take up so much room on the wall?

This isn't facebook. What you are taking up space on is called a friends list or page here. (I'm not trying to be mean, just pointing out the term that is used.)

What you want is an lj-cut, and the FAQ link posted in the first comment will tell you how to do that.

Thanks so much for all of the feedback, Smyleykyley! You identified all the sentences that made me want to stop and edit as I was writing. At the time, however, I just felt the need to forge ahead in order to get something-anything-on paper. As a fellow SoP writer I’m sure you can understand. :)

I definitely don’t want to come off as cocky or put down my former schools (both of which I loved!) so I will pay close attention to the tone of the next draft.

I will read your SoP and leave feedback tonight. Thanks again!
