Graduate Studies in Art History

I'll be entering my senior year at a small, liberal arts women's college in September (I'm an art history/Italian double major). I'm beginning to get application materials together, have plans to take the GRE within the next month or so, etc., but I've realized that I have little guidance as to what programs I should apply to. Which Renaissance? Italian? Northern? I used Klimt as an example, but you should do the same thing with that period as well. Your best bet is to try and find a professor who does have the same interests as you do. What aspect of material culture in the Renaissance are you into? Textiles? The Patron-Artist relationship? Etc? You don't have to tell me exactly what you want to study but I'll give you an example why its important to know what you want to do; I'll do so with what I am interested in ( ... )

Bard's only useful if you are into contemporary art (1960s-present).
