If you've scheduled a date to take the GRE, is it possible to cancel it and get even part of your fee back?

I've just found out that the program I'm applying to also accepts the MAT, which sounds like something I'd do a lot because it has no math problems, just analogies (I haven't taken a real math class in about four years and am more than a ( Read more... )

For anyone else who may stumble upon this thread with a similar question, yes, you can cancel the GRE up to 3 days in advance without penalty or fees forfeiture.

Coming in late here, but I decided to take the MAT instead of the GRE and am glad that I did. I got my results yesterday, and it was worth the rushed feeling of 120 questions in 60 minutes to avoid brushing up on (uh, more like relearning!) my math skills.

Have you taken the MAT yet?

Well first of all I wish I'd checked the tests that my school accepts scores for, to avoid having to pay for the GRE in the first place.

Honestly, I thought the MAT was really easy. But I generally do pretty well on standardized tests, so I wasn't entirely surprised by this.
