Dec 06, 2008 16:02

GRE subject test scores are now available by phone (at least for literature)- scores by phone at 888-473-7267. How did everyone do?

GRE is evil, absurd, unnecessary, hardly a representative measure of one's abilities to write and to analyze texts critically, and can summarily kiss my arse. How'd you do?

HAHAHA. My score was almost exactly the same.
Fuck ETS.

Ha ha... amen to that. Well, I bombed the October test, but just barely made the score I was aiming for this time. :) I am just relieved I am done with ETS once and for all (that is, assuming I go to grad school in the next five years)

I am happy with my score, but I'm seriously irritated that they charge $12 to get the stupid thing over the phone. What the eff is with that? It's not enough that I paid $140 for test and almost $250 sending extra score reports to schools. They can't throw an automated reading of my score in for free?

I need someone to say to me right now:

"hey logicjournal, getting your score of a 510 means nothing- now go work on your sop"

:(

You realize--many of the top programs like Duke and Columbia don't want your subject score at all, and many other programs (northwestern and Buffalo comes to mind) leave it as optional.

I think nearly half of my schools did not require the lit score last year.

NOW go work on your SoP :)

I can't access my scores because all I have is my confirmation number, not my reg number, and if I go by my test month I'm screwed because I took the general and the subject in the same month, so when I tried getting my scores that way, I paid $12 and all they gave me was the general scores I already knew. ETS is just the worst!
Does anyone know how to find out your registration number? ETS never sent me a paper confirmation so I had to just bring a printout of my confirmation email when I took the test. Sigh.

I got mine by calling and talking to a customer service rep, but they may not be open right now. As far as I know, there's no other way to do it - I tried to find the number online with no luck.

I got mine just by entering SSN & birthdate--does that just pull up the most recent?
