But to answer your question, my study abroad GPA was higher than that at my home university because the program was a joke. I sincerely hope no grad school thinks highly of the folks that got like 2.5s and 3.0s there because getting As was crazy easy.

A semester or something of study abroad, IMHO, is sorta standard now, especially in a Western European country.

Having done a study abroad in a developing country or very different culture, or having conducted research abroad might stand out though.

I have to agree with what the others have said, shame on you for violating other peoples privacy.

That said, grades aren't everything. I've been out of undergrad 7 years, and really, I don't think my 3.1 GPA really harmed me. I got interviewed by some great schools and I got into one that I think is the best fit for me. I am a whole package, not just a number. LORs, SOP, experience, all play a part and are the things that I know helped me get in.

Sounds like you're itching to get fired from your job. Good luck with that.

Don't compare yourself to other students in the graduate admissions process.

Also--if I were your supervisor and knew you did this I would fire you on the spot. Looking at the personal records of other students, academic or otherwise is incredibly unprofessional and a clear violation of privacy! How would you feel if someone was looking through your records and passing judgment over your qualifications as a scholar without your permission?

I wouldn't want you next to me in any graduate program!
