Should I Care about the Grades in my Current Classes?

Feb 15, 2008 15:10

I have already been admitted to a few programs. So, does it matter what grades I get in my current classes? I already have my bachelor's degree, I'm just taking a class this quarter and next.

decision, grades

Most schools (in my field, anyway) ask that you submit an updated transcript before beginning classes, so I imagine that it matters somehow.

Significant deviation in last-quarter grades can necessitate review of admissions. - I quote.

Alright, you convince me. Honestly, the class I'm currently taking is pretty tough but I'll try my best.

I got a D in a senior seminar. It didn't impact my acceptance to MA or PhD programs that I've seen.

But you should still probably try not to suck. :P

Yes and no.

I mean, if you fail everything (or close to it), they'll probably rescind their admissions.

If you did a bit worse than usual, or there's just this one class that you bombed, no one's going to care.
