Has anyone else not heard a word from the graduate schools they have applied to, or is it just me?

I have been reading all of these posts about acceptance/rejections and interviews, and I have been faced with a wall of unnerving silence.

It is driving me crazy.

I haven't heard anything yet either. But I'm keeping myself relativly calm by thinking that the people who have heard back had earlier deadlines (my top program isn't technically due until the end of this week - and I've had mine in for just about 2 months), or are PhD students, who therefore hear before me - a lowly MSHP student.

I've been rejected by one school. I've had interviews at 2, with 3 more coming up. Two I haven't heard a word out of. I've had no acceptances yet.
And because I know it makes a difference, I applied to biomedical science programs.

It's still pretty early

Classics, no? Do you mind if I ask where you applied?

Sure - Cornell, Harvard, Yale, FSU, Cincinnati, Oxford, Rutgers, and Johns Hopkins.

You? Other than Oxford, of course :)

Michigan (IPGRH), Chicago (PAMW), Berkeley (AHMA), Brown, Princeton. Looks like none of the same schools. I haven't heard from any U.S. programs.

The department I work for has only issued one acceptance (fellowship deadline).

Otherwise, we have not really made any decisions, and most likely will not for at least another few weeks.

It's easy to feel like you should have heard back--but there are TONS of programs that, like mine, just haven't gotten in touch with anyone yet. It's not that you aren't a desirable candidate, or anything like that--some programs just move slower than others. By late March, then you can start worrying! For now, there's nothing to worry about. :)
