B in my major

I know that a couple of Bs in my major isn't the end of the world and that research/LORs are much more important, but is it a problem if I got a B in the only class offered at my college that focuses on the exact field I want to go into in grad school?

I agree with webrefdesk-- don't try to explain the B. In fact, don't even worry about it. Move forward and focus on developing/improving your research in that one area instead.

Don't stress about it! I was freaking out about the same thing this morning. My grades in my major are not stellar (I blame long hours in the lab) and I bombed the subject GRE. But I just got into one of my top choices (also one of the top in my field). I'm assuming I got in off of my research creds (I need to worship the ground that my adviser walks on). Basically, lab work trumps course work, especially if you can get a professor or two to vouch for the quality of your research.
