Did abysmally.  1130 -- 640 verbal, 490 quant.  I'm pretty sure I did extremely well on both essays. Penn State's flat out ( Read more... )

Possibly stupid question, but are you absolutely sure that the GRE is required for you? Some programs only require to you take it if you graduated within the last five years.

Sorry for the confusion.

I'll still be graduating this year. I took a few years off (had a high paying job that led me to not really care about school in combination with a couple years of straight partying). I just haven't had a math class since before I took my break about seven years ago.

Should I even be bringing this up in a PS or SOP?

What kind of geo programs? Are the curricula math-heavy? I assume if you're interested in GIS or the like, your quant score may pose a serious problem.

Check out the math prep thread posted before yours in case you decide to retake the GRE. Lots of good info.
