1. The Swiss open their new Loetschberg Tunnel. Zurich to Milano in 2.5 hours, not bad. If the main motivation is freight transport, I wonder if they will put all that many passenger services on the route.

On the subject of bad accents: i watched 'Point Break' the other day, and now have a new standard for badness of accent, set by the allegedly Australian police at the end.

Awww...the accents were only as poor as their Presidential masks. ;-)
