I'm glad Kurt's cart idea worked out so well. I'm sure Burt was able to give him some good directions, being a mechanic, but it sounds like Kurt's original ideas all fit really well. I'm glad he and Artie are becoming good friends too, I think they both could use a pal of their own. A hybrid who understands what that life really means in a way that the owners, no matter how well intentioned, just don't have the means to know.

I think Kurt is very good at looking at a problem and trying to see it from different angles, until he sees a solution. In this case, they also have the years of shared or similar experiences at the same pet store. There are things Adam and Gabriel just can't understand, because they haven't lived through it, and I think it's natural for humans to shy away from thinking about what it would be like.

Artie trying his cart, realizing that he was moving on his own, without having to drag his legs, wondering how grass would feel...made me cry.

Awww, thank you! I'm sorry I made you cry, but I'm glad it touched you that much. It's not the same as getting his legs working again, but it's a big step in the direction of independence.
