*laughing* Inui doesn't need a notebook, though--he's got really good memory as a dragon. (That, and it would have sort of ruined the flow of the fic if I had to stop and explain the notebook ...) ♥ Yeah, I kept thinking, "Something's missing," took a break, came back, and then went, "Oh gods I can't believe I posted it like that--gotta edit it NOW!"

First: eeeeeeeeee dragons! ok, now that that sentiment's been expressed *coughs*

I -adore- their dynamic - Inui! So young! (hmm. but, is he full-grown here (the sizes)? dernit, I need to read Temeraire so. badly. maybe I got the 'young' vibe because he's learning.) And so disgruntled - why is can't Yanagi just -tell- him? *pets him* Two-and-a-seventh dragon lengths! <3

Yukimura and Fuji are just - jfkdla; so -themselves-. Idk. Kind of just a little taunting, but Yukimura doesn't really -mean- to be, that's just how he is.

*snuggles back* i haz dilemma: I have a choir bus-trip in, oh, three hours' time, and no book. Not to mention another to -edinburgh- next weekend. No book. Temeraire on shelf. Tour so far, far away...

(I won't deny that 'dragons!' are a very happy occurence. eee dragons. but I'd still read this if they were, idk, psychic beluga whales? XD you're putting (the souls of) all my favourite tennis-boys into a situation which is completely alien, but keeping them so true whilst still showing that the situation isn't alien for -them-. if that makes sense. ^.^')

Loving how the Rikkai team carries over slightly into this. Also, Fuji=still small and sneaky. Shy Inui is v cute (which surprised me as I don't normally go for him XD).

Ahh --- you posted it! ♥♥♥

And, um, where to start with this? I loved how Inui is so recognizably....Inui, even if he's a dragon. Loved his bouts of jealously - as well as the image of Renji trying to sooth them by petting him xD - and that specific streak of stubbornness he has. (And, I'm guessing in terms of age he's....older than Fuji, but younger than Sanada?)

And the ending....I agree, something else crept in, but, whatever it was, it really fitted with them. Though it did make things serious all of a sudden, and made me want to give Inui a pat on the head as well. :P

"Always the reasonable one," he said, giving Yanagi a look Yanagi preferred to interpret as fond.

This line made me smile. It really seemed to sum up their particular brand of friendship.

And I could go on and on and on....Just, thank you for this!! ♥

I'm SO GLAD Inui is still recognizable as a dragon. *clings to you and hearts* With Fuji I wasn't worried, but with Sanada and Inui you just KNOW that the dynamic will change because they're dragons and there are some fundamental things about dragons that won't change. Dragons are so pettable, scales and all, I say. *grins* (Yes, you're right--Inui was born in Yanagi's lifetime, though definitely before Fuji. Good guess!)

I'm so glad you didn't mind the ending. ♥ It did, and I was worried, but then I thought about it, and it was just ... them, and I couldn't take it out now that I knew that was how things were going to be. Fits, though, considering what Fuji's hatching will reveal (if/when I finally write that freaking albatross).

Hee. I didn't expect this request, but it was an excuse to write something non-PW, and I'm so glad you enjoyed this. It made the red ink, the sleepless nights, the four days of scribbling and thinking, and the "omg is this IC?" all worth it. ♥♥♥
