Yeah. Been there done that. I worked at a web hosting company for a year. Web hosting just wreaks of dirty pool. If I was into sales, it would have been comparable to being a used car salesman.
It was tempered by my manager who was stand up guy. I eventually became the manager when he left (turn over was high), and I was a stand up guy. But the owners and president of company. Man, these people would sell grandma up the river for a nickel.

You seemed to handle it well though.

In regards to what to do.... keep calling. If you have the time, call repeatedly to you get an answer you like. Usually the support people will get tired of your calls and will do it so that they can surf the web in peace.

Trust me, I was so close to blowing up and telling the real reason why I was switching away from them (overpriced registration and incompetent staff). however, after that icann statement, she just quickly spit out a bye :D

I'm gonna call them after dinner to see about the transfer again, hopefully it won't be this painful.

It's not just web hosting..it's everything, I've been through this before with every company :(
