So some family is in town, and we planned a long trip that included: Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon west rim, (back to Los Angeles), Yosemite and eventually San Francisco. We only went to the first two and even then it was cut really short ( Read more... )

Guess which road did $500 in damage to my suspension and tires! ding ding ding, diamond bar road! I'm amazed my car could even make it, let alone back.

omg :(

i fucking hate that road, and even though I knew it was unpaved, I had no idea it would be that shitty.

Apparently the way it is right now is vastly better than what it was a few months ago, and eventually they're planning on paving it...eventually.

It's a good thing you missed out on the Skywalk.

From everything I've heard about it it's a complete ripoff and if they see you with a camera they act like you just murdered someone. No photography allowed. They say, supposedly, that it's because if people drop their cameras on the glass it'll crack, which is complete bull. If it cracks that easily from a camera being dropped on it how the hell do they justify letting 50 people walk on the thing at once?

Yeah, I told my family it was a ripoff (~75 minimum for skywalk+package, no photography, all that), but they insisted on it anyway.

Half of them couldn't even go on the skywalk because they were too scared of heights.

Sigh.

For 75 dollars they better damn well let me take my camera out. If they wanted money they should've just done what every other indian tribe does and build a casino.
