remote usability

I'm shopping for a new universal remote after the shitty one we have sort of died and we have something like 20 remotes in a box for devices we didn't remember we had at some point or another and..it's just a mess. Especially given we have a gazillion DVD players and other miscellaneous devices. Another day I should get off my ass and build an HTPC

hahaha too big! I was looking at some large remotes for low-vision users and they're obscenely big and not well designed.

I might have to deal with a cheaper and less-awesome one or go with the 880 if I can find a test unit somewhere my mom can play with.

it's a lot of effort. plus not all of them have buttons to do things on the device itself.
