email spam and real estate brokers

So, me and my mom are looking for businesses and/or property for sale and lease and have been for a while. Obviously a lot of stuff gets done over email and I didn't want to spam my personal inbox or my mom's, so I created one email account we could both use. I've often wondered why other people seem to have this sort of trouble. I hardly ever get spam for some reason.

Well, I have about 20 different email addresses used for various things. A lot of it was probably harvested from stupid people with my address..or my website, or whatever. I don't really care, cause my spam filters usually do an excellent job. They're just really failing in this one aspect.
