Yea....
I quit looking at digg ages ago, and did the same to boingboing in January. Now if there is some good content of something I look for it directly...

well I actually sort of like most of boingboing. I cannot stand digg and reddit normally though. the idea in theory may have been a good one, but I sort of think something like what /. does is a bit better..they have firehose + editors. keeps out the stupidity.

Yea I do like most of the things at boingboing. But 20-30% of them are wtf (would be less if I lived in Cali..) or plain hurt my brain. If there was a way to make proper filters for it, so e.g. skip every single post that has anything to do with ms Tesanovic or Ioerror or that refers to make or craft (as I check make, craft and instructables anyway).

I was actually thinking of making a one week analysis of every post published that week in BB and giving it a rating of 0 to 10.. could be interesting to get a number of people to do the same on the same week to see how different the views are.

hmm yeah, it would. i don't think i've ever noticed it was cali slanted..or that might be cause i live here :P there are some articles i dont care for but the vast majority i do read.

i would love filters so much, sigh.
