So, anyone using an advanced Logitech mouse on Mac OS X should have at least heard of the piece of shit that is called Logitech Control Center. It's basically the official Logitech driver/mouse config software for Macs

Hmm, I have a razer copperhead and zero mac software support, but it's absolutely killer for gaming on windows. you'd prolly have to get one of their pro mice and not their gaming mice to get mac drivers :(
I found controllermate to be the most flexible of the three and usb overdrive to be the easiest to use. dunno, prolly depends on what device you're using.
I agree USB Overdrive is easiest to use but it just started behaving 'funny'. USB Overdrive seems a bit overkill and a utility with such a bloated interface makes me fear for the kernel driver it comes with. I never understood why OS-es still don't natively support multimedia keyboards/mice with more buttons.

I just bought a Logitech Harmony 1000 Remote. I love the remote, the software on the other hand...::weeps::
Basically the whole thing is a crappy web interface duct taped to the ass end of a usb flasher. The idea is nice, and the actual design is usable, the problem is the AJAXy web parts of the software are prone to not working or working badly. For example, you add a device, a field appears to enter the model number. 95% of the time (no exaggeration) I can't type anything into the freaking field.

Yup. That's the case with pretty much any Logitech device. The hardware is mindblowingly amazing, and the software is so shitty you reconsider buying their products in the future. Pretty depressing.
