bitterbarbs has a Waxing Lyrical challenge up! Sign ups run until July 30, so you have some time to think about whether you'd like to participate :) As for me, I'm hoping HBP will inspire me to write.

Speaking of challenges though, dgficexchange is not dead. It is just...not open yet. There'll be a grand opening and whatnot soon, since I really, really want to read more ( Read more... )

Oh, this is a great story! I really really liked it. I think this could actually be the first chapter(is it?) If it isn't, then it'd be a story with really short chapters. But I liked it regardless.

Hi! Thank you for your feedback! :) You're absolutely right -- that'll probably end up being the first chapter. I'm not really used to writing long chapters, but I think for this fic, I'll probably have to.

As for the H/D-ness, I totally don't know yet. I submitted it for concrit, so I'm hoping they'll shed some light on direction :P

Oh, and don't worry about your italian test. I never revised for my tests, and I always got pretty good marks, I know you'll be able to do better than me!

Listening sucks, though. The woman on the tape would speak really fast and half the class would be staring at the each other, mouths wide open. And then the tape would go "now we have finished the listening section" I was always like WTF?! I thought we were on question 2!

LMFAO. DUDE. I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND THAT. IT'S CRAZY. I was all, Wait--what?!

It turns out I did okay in the end though, so thanks for the reassurance! :D

Very, very promising. There are so many great moments in this first chapter. I want expalantions for so many things. Harry and Draco's friendship, for one. What's up with Hermione, for another, there almost seemed to be a shippy moment between her and Draco. And how does Tom feel about Ginny?

Great start! Some moments were too much tell than show, but you said that you were just trying to get it down first, and I totally understand that. I look forward to more!

Wendy--thank you. Cause all those questions made me think. I address Tom's feelings on Ginny later, but I think that scene is incredibly weak. It's hard as crap to write Tom Riddle, more so than Voldemort. I hear onecrimsontie can do it like no other, but I, sadly, suck at it.
