I've never been to a book signing event. But last weekend, I got my copy of Black Lentil Doughnuts signed by C K Meena. I was told that the title page of the book where the author's name is printed is for the author to sign, and not to write down your own name and date of purchase

Yes :). Upamanyu Chatterjee is gonna be in Bangalore sometime this month end. I may go to his book reading too. I liked his English August but Mammaries of a Welfare State was yucky!
