The head hunting industry is full of mucking forons. A certain email that I got today from a head-hunter annoyed me plenty for the ( usual reasons )

rant, fraud, iitg, privacy, email

Hooooly Shit! :)) But that is a friends only post and since you have only 37 friends it is OK. As long as google doesn't have it, it is OK.

PS: Is the devil in you already planning to nonfriendsonlyfy the post now? :-P

Na, I don't plan to make it public. But I will if you want me to. In Hollywood and LJ, any publicity is good publicity :P

The ways of these people :))

But some of these head hunters are Good Professional People (TM). They do the required research and send in email with the right details. I always make it a point to reply indicating that I am not interested at the moment. And they are the people I'll contact for sure if I am looking out.

somebody who had access to the database gave it out (surely not for fun, perhaps for profit)

The Call Center way !!!

This is even worse, because it is from within a group that is _trusted_.

Yes, I might as well do it, now that the 'kids' reading my journal have figured it out :P I was no saint in the the portions behind the lj-cut anyway.

Totally agree. There was a time I was looking out, and I used to get so annoyed to see mails for technical profiles when I have zero tech knowledge.

Some of these head-hunters are good professionals though. But I've had more bad experiences than good ones.
