Afraid of home?

This Sunday, I saw Steven Spielberg's The Terminal. I wouldn't say this should be counted among Spielberg's brillant movies (well, it is certainly better than War of the Worlds anyway), but it is a nice movie with plenty of feel good factor to it. One scene that I particularly liked (which is why I typed it all), goes like this:

A lot of people may not have _liked_ it a lot, but I am not too sure if they would have reasons to _hate_ it. I found the movie nice and simple. It was funny at times, and the performances were good (Tom Hanks, Stanley Tucci and Pallana Kumar did a great job).

Well, people are different - i recollect Sampada recording some strong criticism, for instance.

Opinions! We all have different ones, and the reasons for holding them, too :)

I read this comment and I was wondering how A Beautiful Mind would have been if Tom Hanks played John Nash instead of Russel Crowe! ;)

I thought the movie was brilliant.. made me think a lot of abt borders, identities et al... You do know.. it's based loosely on a true story..

Ensoi!

Junta told me that the movie was based on a real story, but I was too lazy to read about that ;-)

Tyanks for the link. I also read the wikipedia article on Merhan Karimi Nasseri after that. I noticed that the guardian films page was linked from there as well.

I too saw the movie just this month. I didn't know it was a Spielberg movie, I picked up the DVD only because it has Tom Hanks on it. :) But I liked the movie a lot. I can see the movie again only for that Gupta character. :D

I've been wanting to watch this movie since a long time. The other day I went to the video store, asked for a lot of movies that the chap did not have or he already let out and picked this one finally. No regrets.

I agree that Gupta was amazing in the movie. He is one of the three best characters in the movie, IMO.

haha!!this portion was funny. the film isn't Tom Hanks' best, but it was entertaining. He is a very good actor isn't he?

Indeed, at the end of the conversation he says he is scared of ghosts / sharks, and the expressions on Dixon's face. Cracked me up.

You bet :)
