War. Devastation. When you arrive, you find yourself in an abandoned city. You can smell the death, the decaying bodies, gun powder, fire. There's dried blood and remains scattered throughout the city. Buildings aren't cared for. Plants grow on them, through broken windows and overtaking few. Paint is coming off of others, debris lie throughout the streets, alleys, and even inside these buildings.
But then you come to the river. On the other side, the buildings are in perfect condition. Cared for. The streets, as far as you can see, are taken care of. Clean. You go over, trying to figure out what's going on. But when you try to do so, you're shunned. People flee, looking for cover. Pulling children off of the streets and closing their shutters. Classic the-bad-guy-is-here behavior. Someone yells at you, calls you something you can't decipher.
This is the Other Side. You are the Abnormal.

- YOU directly affect entire maps!
That's right, we have more than a handful of ways your character can affect maps and a map editor on hand when we go through our map changes! We're ever evolving and as more people arrive, so too will the island itself expand and open new places!
- We're not a jam jar.
You can return home to see the ruin or repair that your world has gone through. This is a work in progress and the current state of it is beta, but will be discussed with the community before being too drastically changed once we're a little more frequented. Has your character ever wished they could hear from someone from their previous game, but that character wasn't there? Or just someone from home at all? So have ours. So, once a month, The Operator has to try to take what you've done and applied it to your worlds, this gives him a moment in time that he can gather all thoughts and dreams aimed about your ( ... )

If you believe in something hard enough, it will come true. Like how Santa Claus is apparently real because kids all around the world believe in him. So why not if you focus hard enough on something fictional, it can become real? Certainly no one person has this ability, but what about a whole slew of people? A fandom? All that fanart and fanfics and fansites and hours laboring over something that was never real finally can become a living thoughtform ( ... )

The setting is just after the end of the first Wizarding War. Voldemort was just defeated by an infant mere months ago and his supporters- SOME of his supporters- are being arrested. But for those that are slipping through the cracks, there is still tension and distrust within the community, especially from those who lost loved ones in the course of the war. It is still hard to determine where the loyalties of certain players lie, and no one yet feels completely comfortable speaking the name of You-Know-Who aloud.
