I love the angst and reality here, especially in that the reader knows how short their time is.
I really liked James refusal to think about it,not because he never did, but because he knew that that road led to despair.

I have a tendency to write Lily and James very positive and hopeful about the future, but they must have had plenty of times when they questioned that hope and felt more helpless and negative. Hence this piece - and perhaps one or two more to come. Thank you very much for your kind words, which are hugely appreciated.

This one was an angsty one, you're right. I'm not sure where it came from, but they'd have had dark times - lots of them likely - so I ran with it.
