It was so clear to him now.
He couldn’t help but chuckle at this too tardy realization, this epitome that had graced him now, of all times.
Alfred was many things.
He was a doll; a pretty trophy meant to sit quietly in his place.
He was a toy; fun to break, but even more enjoyable to mend, kissing away the bruises with poison-laced lips, endearments

That's the only thing that is going through my mind right now.
You did an amazing job with this. With the entire thing. There were so many plot twists and dramatic points and...
I think my mind has turned to mush. Honestly. I'm sorry if this comment is incoherent and babbling. I don't get like this much, but when I do it's pretty bad.
I bow down to you and your awesome writing skills. I can only hope that I achieve your level of epicness one day.
On another note I did not see a happy ending coming out of that. I don't know how you managed that one.

I have no doubt that you can write just as well as I can, if not better, but thank you for calling me 'epic.' XD And don't worry about the babbling thing; I do it all the time. :3
I'm not sure how the happy ending came out, either; it was jsut kind of...there. XD

The plot was outstanding. You have such a knack for cliffhangers, it kept me on edge during the entire story. The way you managed to worm in details, like a complex tapestry, was unbelievable. The common themes and ideas (second chances, flowers, etc.) were so well thought out and helped carry out the story so well ( ... )

Thanks for all your praise, and for noticing those reappearing symbols. XD My 11th grade English teacher would be proud.
And, ah, you've brought up an intresting question: was Ivan there with him? While it can be interpreted differently, since I didn't specify, in my mind, he wasn't there. The child who said 'Da' was actaully Alfred. I thought it would be ironic if he said that, for obvious reasons (that might only be so to me, so don't hesitate to ask again). XD
And sorry for the late response! ^^''

and oohhh, that is ironic! I had been confused when I saw "da..." written there when it seemed like the child was Alfred. I think that's actually extremely interesting. wow, what an ending ^^

Thank you for everything you have given me with this. Seriously, this story is all that, a bag of chips, and a large drink.
I said so much in my previous comment that I'm left pretty much speechless right now. Just, keep on writing. <3
