I like being worried about someone

Ikuta Toma
Has various "gifts" to warm your heart.

You give a present to someone to receive a present from someone. That's normal but for the person whose giving the present, that person is happy as well. What is this gift that Ikuta Toma will have linger in your heart?

●With work Toma has been to many different places. He says that he buys presents for his family and friends every time. "I guess what I buy the most is food. Like the area's specialty food. When I went around the country for my movie promotion, In Hakata I bought mentaiko. I worry about it a lot, but worrying over what to give someone and choosing it is a lot of fun, I like doing it." He's bought presents for his drama co-stars as well. "I go shopping when I find the time to, but normally I don't leave the house, so it's fun. When I'm picking out a present I'm thinking 'This fits that person…' Most of the time I buy CDs of an artist I think the person would like or hats. Sizes for clothes are difficult but with hats there's never really a problem."

●When asked about the type of presents he receives, he immediately responded with "When I was in middle school I received a present from Matsuoka Seigo. It's really important to me now. If you're asking about recently, I received a Matsuda Yūsaku figurine. During a meeting for "Ningen Shikaku" when I had told the staff from Kadokawa Films that I had bought the Matsuda Yūsaku box set, a few days later they gave me they gave me the limited edition figurine because the Kadokawa Group was actually selling it. Right now it's decorating my room."

●The words he received from various people while he was promoting his movie made him happy. "Different people I met would tell me 'I saw your movie.' The people who would stand in line from morning for the private viewings would give me words of support. After the finished film's first viewing the director said 'Let's do this again somewhere.' With this being my job, those words probably made me the happiest I've ever been.

●Lastly, when we asked him to give a proposal to his beloved someone, "Huh? I've never thought about that before. But if I had to say something I'd say it straight. I think that more important that the words being said are the feelings behind them" Toma said a little awkwardly.
