Yesss finally! :P :P This is a powerful beginning. Like woah. I really enjoy the tension that's created between knowing, via little weighty gestures and pre-slash touches and the dispute over paternity, that these three were wild as all hell in the sixties, but we don't know exactly how. Also, as ever, Your powers of micro-observation shine. Case and point:

"For a moment he wanted to reach out to touch him, but he stopped his hand. Magneto was a difficult man to comfort."

He is indeed! Also Charles sums things up so well in your fics, and I can feel the ache and regret in this simply stated response:

‘We were young,’ Charles corrected him, but softly. ‘We didn’t feel it at the time - we thought we were so old - but we weren’t.’

Just gorgeous. Cannot wait for more!

Ohhhh yeaaaa! I am so excited for this story! I went and read your post on Gabrielle and think she sounds very interesting. I know nothing about the X-Men universe except what I've seen in the movies (I'm awful I know) but I always enjoy discovering new characters! Can't wait for the next chapter :)
