I actually wrote this the first day the challenge and prompt went up! And then I forgot about it with work I had to do, finishing up my gift for pilot presents, and so many other things. Finally found the time to edit it a little more and get it posted.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, especially since it was your prompt. I could definitely see it happening like this. Without a doubt, Kara would have sacrificed herself for him in a heartbeat.

I love Kara's completely crazy stunt to get Lee into her viper and passing out while doing it. Love it!

We didn't get to see many free-floating-spacey-sequences on the show, much to my dismay. This stunt was pure Kara. No one else would have shut down and busted open their Viper in space to save another pilot except her. She didn't call for extra help or wait, just did what she needed to do for him even if it could have ended up getting her killed in the process. Glad you enjoyed it!

And I could totally picture it! Kara holding her viper by a foot, risking everything to save Lee. Awesome! *g*

Oh, this is great! Kara pulling a patented non-textbook crazy stunt in space to rescue Lee, even at cost to herself, and Lee manages to say he loves her. What an excellent story--wish this was canon!

Me too! Kara goes all out for him and Lee's already pretty raw, so they both kind of lose that filter that has held them back in the past.
