Paris to Roll Out Free Bicycles

PARIS - The City of Light wants to soon become a city of bicycles. Paris City Hall announced it has selected French outdoor advertising firm JCDecaux SA to operate a new free bicycle service in the capital

it does sound like a good idea. amsterdam i know has bicycle-only lanes on most main streets, and most people ride them instead of driving cars. if paris did something like that, it would definitely make fewer people drive cars.
promoting bike riding by giving free bikes away not only means more bike riders on streets, but also would make drivers more cautious and aware of bikes. so that's cool.
