I relied a lot on good-quality sausage to perk up things I cooked during grad school. Not a LOT, not every week, but more than I had before grad school, and certainly more than I've done since. Huh. Honestly not sure why.
I'm fortunate enough to live quite near an independent butcher - not an upscale place, but the meat is very fresh there, especially compared to the sausages I'm used to getting at the supermarket!
