There is a very, very pregnant goddess sitting, somewhat shame-faced, in her favourite armchair. She's sitting in one of the windows, golden sunlight playing over her form in a manner that is, for once, un-calculated. She's just enjoying the view - she's been away from him for far too long. She's not sure when Mount Etna became home - but it is.

Aphrodite is never anything less than gorgeous and at the moment, pregnant as she is, she's achingly beautiful. But she feels fat, ponderous, and ugly. She doesn't want Hephaestos to see her like this, which is why she's been away - but she can't deprive him of the birth of his daughter.

So she's come home.
