Funny she acknowledges it when it's one of two shows left on her crappy network that have decent ratings in their respective time slots. I think it has more to do with that then it does with her suddenly appreciating the Kripke Vision (which is another issue in and of itself) and the show in general.
She knows it's one of the only shows they have that'll regularly pull viewers and they're trying to pull more by running the People's Choice Award ads. It's not that she respects the show anymore than she did last month, it's the show suddenly means possibly more ratings and more money. I have so many issues with her statement about the creativity level on the show lately, I won't even get into it.
SPN's never been THAT original before seasons 4/5 but at least they put their own stamp on the ideas. I've not been impressed with the current storyline and I might've been able to deal with it had it been handled/written better. More like part of a plan than a series of canon retcons, the worst offender thusfar being the explanation of "Croatoan" in "The End". What a joke. Ooops, and I promised myself I wouldn't get into that ... too late.
