James saw the note, and knew the feeling. Something defeated perhaps. Between the count and Richard being offish, he felt off himself to everything.

He made his way to the Rec Room at the appointed time.

Delirium peeked into the rec room, her hands grasped around the door jamb and her eyes and nose the only parts of her visible from inside. "Can I help?"

"Hi James, how are you?" Sam greeted James as he entered the rec room.

A moment later a colorful young woman with mismatched gold and blue eyes poked her head around the door. "Sure hope so," Sam said in reply to her question, smiling warmly. "I don't believe we've had the chance to meet, I'm Sam."
