It is very early for snow! I know my Wisconsin relatives are expecting the stuff, but they are very far north (and it is still early, even there...)

I'm even more north of that, but it's still atypical to get this much snow this early, and it's been so cold lately that I think it might actually stay. Usually we don't have snow stick around until after Halloween. :(

It's mid spring in Sydney, and it's been freezing! Apparently we have a global cold snap, which may last in a general way for the next few years, according to climate scientists. Clean the coat! I think there will also be hotter summer days to make up for it. Er, yay?

We had such a cold summer here, it was rainy and windy for the majority of the season. Usually it gets really hot (mid to high 30s Celsius, plus oppressive humidity), but it only hit 30 degrees two or three times the whole summer, and generally stayed around 15 to 20 degrees (freaky, right? /o\). Not that I'm really complaining about that, because I hate the heat, but it's been unseasonably cold all year and it's a little disturbing. And I am terrified of what a global cold snap means. D: ARE WE HEADING TOWARDS AN ICE AGE?? *builds bunker*

No we're not, the anthropegenic warming is too substantive. But we will be having unseasonable everything for quite some time to come, alas! Buy a coat and hat, and then a sundress and sunhat. That'll see you covered!

I saw a museum exhibit a few years ago that described global climate shifting, but it didn't go into any of the science behind it or, really, did much explaining of any kind. And actually, I now recall that it talked about us moving into another climate shift, and I made a joke about a new ice age then, too. Oh brain, why do you make the same bad jokes over and over again?

I should totally get some sundresses! I mean, not now, obviously, but next year! I'm definitely covered on coats and hats, though. They're pretty necessary up here, considering how long our winter lasts. :/

Man, and here I was bitching about it raining today!

My cats are so like yours when it comes to boxes and bags. They eschew the laundry basket in favour of the bed, because the only stuff in the basket are clothes needing ironing - all the dryer-toasty stuff gets dumped on the bed for sorting :)

There is still snow on the ground this morning! D: D: D:

I don't think I've yet met a cat that doesn't like boxes and bags, but I love all their peculiar little habits about them. They're so cute! Cats are awesome.
