Can anyone tell me if this is true?:
If your bank is Cambrian Credit Union, you can cash a cheque at *any* credit union (like Assiniboine or whatever).

But I'm pretty confident that you can cash the cheque at his bank, so just do that. Make sure you bring ID.

If its *his* cheque from *his* bank, you can cash it there. But since its his signed-over paycheque, then you'll need to do it at either your bank or the originating bank.
(And doing a bit of research, it does sound like it really won't matter which Credit Union you go to, although I can't find anywhere that says that explicitly.)
Sounds like a fucking pain in the ass. Although at least this way you know it will get done.

This is so. much. work. I'm just going to write a cheque for his rent and then deposit this one on the weekend - my dad already said he would take me to the bank because he is awesome like that.
And, yeah, I'm stupid. Clearly, this isn't a cheque *from him* so the RBC thing doesn't work. *facepalm* I'm not thinking straight, apparently. D:
Or maybe there's a Credit Union near my work? GOD. I HATE HIM. I'M STRESSING OUT OVER HIS RENT. And I'm only getting $40 out of $184 from this. FUCKER.
