Simon comes in for something or other and blinks at her.

"...Wei, meimei."

"Positive airflow," River replies, waggling a few upside-down fingers. "Clears the head. Wei."

"How are you today?"

He worries about her. Of course.

"Would appreciate some quiet."

She flips down to stand next to him.

"Never happens, even when nobody's talking. The floor is loud, the sky is louder."

Quinn heads into 202 in search of cleaning supplies for the classroom down the hallway.

He was not aware that anyone around here was an acrobat.

"Um," he says, blinking. "Hullo."

And River smiles, gladly representing the acrobat faction.

Melaka can join her later.

"Wei," she answers.

"That's... good, right?" Quinn asks tentatively. "Sorry, miss. I only speak English."

He glances to what she was holding. "Oh, you found the book..."

"Means 'hello.' Just answered you." The book gets another glance.

"Is it yours? Didn't mean to steal it."

Johnny happened to glanced up and notice hair dangling down. And then he spied the young woman hanging upside down.

"How's the view?" He wryly replied, a bit envious that he couldn't do that as easily as he used to.

River gives him a glance.

And then hums a bar of the theme from Wheel of Fortune.

"It's very good."

Johnny quirked his eyebrows at that when he recognized the tune. Ok, that was... unsettling. Place your bets, gents, place your bets.

"Must be, good advantage point. Can see everything from up there."

"The roof for outside. Vents for sounds. Here for figuring out whose footfalls are whose."

She swings a little, and then pulls her legs upward to hang wrapped around the bar rather like a sloth, or a panda.

"I'm River."

Well, that's...unexpected.

Jim's walked into Room 202 to some strange sights before, but he never expected to see someone hanging upside down in the middle of it. He hesitates, wondering if he should even ask.

Curiosity wins out.

"...What're you doing?" he asks, tilting his head slightly at the strange woman.

"Gaining perspective." It's a perfectly straightforward no-nonsense direct answer to the question.

Well, as direct as saying something besides 'hanging upside down.'

To River, it makes perfect sense.

"Oh," he says, his brows furrowing. That just confused him a little bit more. "And to do that you have to hang upside down. Right."

Pause.

"Isn't it uncomfortable hanging upside down like that though?"

Not to mention the fact it's probably unsafe. Who knew how stable the pipes were in this place.

"Not for me. For you, maybe. Is it uncomfortable talking to someone who's hanging upside down?"
