He lost Aang somewhere in there - Sokka's not exactly sure when. But somewhere along the line of showing him around the apar-- ap... the building thingy, the Airbender had disappeared.
Or Sokka had gotten distracted by the tiled room with a water basin that seemed to be attached to the wall with these odd little pipes and knobs and when he realized they must do something, he had to putter around with it for the next twenty minutes to figure out if maybe this, no, how about that, whoops, no, how about...
When he looked up and Aang was gone, Sokka's frustration grew, and not just because of the sink's unwillingness to cooperate. "Aang?"
