[ Because Zuko just became a daddy. There is laughter and grinning and two boys stumbling into 202, looking relieved and happy all at once. One is Zuko and the other is Sokka; one is a father and then other is an uncle

Cups are easy to attain, and wine doubly so. There is laughter as Zuko drops onto the couch and waits for Sokka to pour the wine. "You clonked. That was enough. And you made this little 'uuuu' noise before you went down, too."
"Lies! And if it was 'uuuu' at least it wasn't 'EEEEE'."
Grinning, Sokka hands Zuko his wine cup (and kicks him in the shin) before dropping onto the opposite end of the couch. "Think Loo's eyes'll stay blue? She was warmer than Hana, you'd think she'd get the gold."
"I don't think it matters," Zuko says happily, before he sips his wine. "Or who bends stronger, or whatever. They're both a mix of us... ad that's the way I like it."
He grins, and then says, "And maybe in a couple of years, we'll try again and see what happens."
There's a werewolf in 202 when they come in, already grinning. What? The entire building probably heard the screams, not just those with better than average hearing.
Sokka is passed one, and Zuko gets one in turn. This, he's got to see. "Save one for uncle, he used to indulge in a pipe," he says-- but then there's a cupped flame -- for her, for Sokka, then for Zuko.
Smoking is easy for a firebender; they have the black in their lungs befor they can WALK. ... it's Sokka he's eyeing a minute later, waiting for the choke.
Monk claps Zuko on the back. "That's great, Zuko. Want more good news?"
He doesn't ask for Zuko's answer. He leans in with a smirk and whispers as though he's telling a secret that can NEVER BE TOLD TO ANYONE EVER AGAIN, "We're officially down on vampire."
"Excellent!" And there is now a cup of wine for Monk and a grin and yes a cigar and happy happy Zuko. Vampires dead, Babies born, hallellujah! Things are looking up!
"For the next couple of years? Yeah, yeah they are." He pauses, pats Toph on the shoulder, and then says, "Promise we'll try and keep the volume down."
Iroh doesn't have quite the superspeed some might expect. Either he's not as young as he was, or he wants to enjoy the moment in peace for a few seconds before running headlong into chaos. Take a guess.
Still, it's not long at all before there's a new grandpa in the room, smiling like... well, like a new grandpa, really.
"I understand congratualations are in order?" he says, as if he didn't know.
Zuko is quick to break away from the collecting mob to come over, setting glass aside. He is beaming as only new parents do. "Uncle-- oh, yes! I'll take you by tonight when they're awake..."
He can do things with Iroh he cannot with others, say things like, "The younger one looks like me, we think. And both have breath that burns -- I have two firebenders, uncle!"
He's burning up, too; but with pride. He's made somethnig perfectly wonderful, and nothing short of pure world demolishing catastrophe could dim him at the momwent.
It's a mostly neutral voice, as if Zuko was discussing breakfast (not that breakfast isn't something Iroh has great interest in), but that's just teasing and Iroh can't hold it up long. If there was ever a reason to hug Zuko, looks like it's now.
"Congratulations."
He releases his nephew in due time, stepping back with an even bigger smile than before - which one might have doubted possible. "I look forward to meeting them!"
Zuko has never been a tactile person -- not with his uncle; Mel has done marvels to knock down walls and enable him to accept affection, even display it, this last year they've been together...
...so it's not exactly surprising to anybody that Zuko can embrace and be embraced-- arms tight around the man who his children will call grandfather.
"Thank you, uncle." It's heartfelt -- and has lines between each words; there is very much to be grateful for. He grips his uncle's shuolder a moment later-- before he gives him cigar, retaking his own and grinning with Fire Nation pride.
"So, will you help me with-- ah, the little accidents?" The ones that involve combustibles, not the ones that involve diapers, he means.

And now he's in 202 and-- getting out the wine Josh has left lying around, poking around for cups.

"I think I just heard a woman giving birth," he declares rather loudly, eyes immediately falling on Zuko.

"No kidding? That's pretty cool. Uh, they're not gonna be that loud all the time, are they?" Because Toph is blunt like that.
But, to prove that she's not insensitive all the time, "Congratulations."
