There's a small blonde girl in a hand-stand - very wobbly, but there nonetheless - against the side of the apartment block. She turns her head to look for the source of the unfamiliar voice, her eyes widen in shock, and she promptly falls over sideways.

"You flew!" She says, blue eyes still staring.

"How'd you do that?"

Better brace yourself, Karolina. There's a twelve year-old mutant headed your way.

"K!" Molly shrieks as she runs across the courtyard. "Ohmigoshomigoshomigosh, it's you it's you!"

As Karolina looked around, trying to make sense of everything she was seeing, she heard a small high voice.

“What?” she blurted in surprise, staring at the little girl who had just fallen over from her handstand. She rushed forward to help her. “Are you alright?”

Karolina did not quite know how to answer Daffodil’s question. She never really did learn how to fly. It had just happened. She remembered the pure horror that had filled her being when she ‘lit up’ after ripping her Med-Alert bracelet from her wrist, and how quickly it had been overrun with joy when she first felt her feet leave the ground beneath her.

Out of the corner of her eye, Karolina saw a familiar figure dart across the courtyard. She turned, and a swell of joy and relief filled her chest. Glancing back at Daffodil to make sure that the girl was not hurt, Karolina left her side and ran towards Molly.

“Molly!”

Karolina looked around for any sign of Nico and Victor… and Xavin. If Molly was here, where were the others?

“Weren’t you with Nico and Victor? Where are

And Molly is impacting Karolina at about Warp 3, wrapping her arms around the other girl's waist.

"I can't believe you're here! I thought you went to marry that Xavin guy, uh, girl...whatever." She looks up at Karolina and beams. "This is great! Now all we need are Nico and Victor, and we'll have everyone here! Oh, we've gotta find Chase and Gert and tell them."

And she starts pulling on K's arm, leading her to the apartments.

Karolina stared at Molly, quite perturbed by the young girl’s rambling. What? Something about this place - something about Molly and the rest of the people around her was disturbing - like a dream… or nightmare.

“Molly,” Karolina said, in a firm voice, “you were with Nico and Victor.” She looked at the girl desperately. “Don’t you remember ‘Dogzilla’?”

“And…” Karolina’s voice trailed off in confusion, “Xavin and I were trying to ward Dogzilla off while Victor tried to repair the Leapfrog…”

Suddenly, she heard another familiar voice…

Karolina's not the only one whose confused.

"'Dogzilla'?" she echoes. She shakes her head. "There's no Dogzilla here. Vampires and a few vampire-Magog, but no Dogzillas. And Nico and Victor aren't here." Yet.

"Leapfrog's over there." Molly points to Leapfrog's position at the wall. "Chase is probably over there, but I think Gert's in the building."

Chase stares. For a long moment, he does nothing else. And then, there might just be a wetness in the corner of his eyes.

"Karolina?"

Karolina whirled around, and saw Chase Stein looking at her. She stared back, equally overwhelmed by emotions.

“Chase…” She raised a hand to her mouth. “You’re back… You’re…”

This was wrong.

Something was very wrong.

He steps forward, laying a hand on Gerts shoulder.

"Finally ditch the he/she and come to find us? Vics been getting, my message, rights? I knew it would work..."
