"Honestly, you'd think that after a millenia with no one shopping in it, the mall would have at least something one could use to repair some simple mechanics," the Doctor snorted grumpily, dropping into a chair.

"If I didn't know better, I'd be convinced that this planet has made the pickings slim here on purpose."

"You went to the mall again without me?"

It could almost properly be called whining.

Okay, strike the almost.

"Didn't think you'd be interested," the Doctor admitted, "I was just looking for new supplies for the translator."

By new supplies, of course, he meant a completely new translator, as the old one was in bits and pieces somewhere in the courtyard.

"Where've you been hiding, anyway?" he asked, idly.

"I'm always interested. You get your supplies, I get some musty old clothes that have been lying around since the world ended. Everyone wins!"

She smiles wryly.

"I've been around. Not too much going on in the way of excitement for normal folks, what few there are of us."

Rogue wanders into 202 and picks up a fashion magazine she's already leafed through. It's written in Chinese so there's not much for her to read. She puts the magazine down and flops into a chair.

"Who knew the end of the world would be so boring," she comments.

Two bored teenagers...now that can't be promising.

"It wasn't the first time I saw it," Rose remarks, almost offhandedly.

"This isn't how it ends. This is just... a pause."

"Well...that's comforting...I think," Rogue answers. "I'm Rogue."

"Neat name. I'm Rose."

Rose smiles brightly at the other girl.

"We kinda rhyme."
