On the Hunt

It's a futile quest, probably. He'd probably be better trying to use his knife instead. And even if he fi nds one, what's to say that the end of the world didn't ruin every last one? Still, he would kill for one. ...Well, he wouldn't kill certain people for one. Lke Monk. Monk is okay in his book. And Decan seems all right. But right now, he knows ( Read more... )

Chris isn't insane already?

Wesker was actually planning to go find some of the others he'd seen killing vampire Magog and exchange vampire-Magog-killing tips. He hears someone moving in an apartment and comes to the door.

Ah. A Redfield.

"Two to one, Chris."

((BTW, Magog Attacks is awaiting your tag, so they can bicker about that. :D ))

Chris's head immediately snaps up as soon as Wesker speaks. Oh goody. As if life didn't hate him enough before, what with vampire Magog plummeting out of the sky and all. Might as well face this little test, too.

"Yeah? And your point would be?" Chris is doing his best to appear absolutely nonchalant. But his pulse has skyrocketed and he looks tense. Almost like he's expecting Wesker to attack him. And the worst thing of all?

He could get away with it. Nobody's around.

"If you're gonna gloat, Al, do me a favor and knock it off. I'm not afraid of you or your damn little mind tricks. So don't even try anything with me. Got it?!"

((This is what happens when I ditz out off of the computer for one day. ^^; Righto, off to tag I go! :D))

Wesker knows there's only a few situations in which he'll actually manage to scare Chris. When he has Chris strapped down in a containment cell, or if Claire disappears, or if hell happens to freeze over, the man will know terror. In other situations, his system merely kicks into survival mode.

Wesker has a private theory that this is because in some ways, Chris is not too bright.

"I've been limiting the amount of favors I do for you, Redfield. Besides bringing your sister in, stepping in where you failed, and still having one more Magog kill to my name." Wesker isn't smiling, although believe him, this is fun. "Tell me something, if you would."

The Claire thing makes Chris visibly twitch. The memories of his first meeting with his sister still sting him in the back of his mind. He actually gets halfway to a snarl before forcing himself to calm down. Don't let him see you sweat, Chris. Don't give him the satisfaction.

"...What?" He's being rude, but hey, this is Wesker. Being nice to him only earns you a higher sopt of the Test Subject List. Or two shots to the heart like what happened to Enrico (and that was a guy who was a fellow captain, no less!)

"And I got a question for you too, Al. But hey, you ask first. I'll see if I can find a creative way of telling you absolutelynothing." And that is a sarcastic little sneer. Well, Chris is certainly feeling better than he was a few days ago.
