Buffy has the vague but persistent feeling that she should be bringing doughnuts. Or at least munchkins.

Or maybe a rocket launcher. That'd be good too.

Zuko would approve of all of these things.

"Nice to see you're quick to show up," he says, giving her a wry smile. "Have some water, find a seat."

"I am?"

This is why clocks are necessary. So people can straggle.

But she takes a seat, and proceeds to look awkward.

Venus skips in, actually. And plops down gracelessly next to Buffy.

She always feels blondes are better in numbers. The better to have someone else to hold down the bad guy when the bad blonde jokes start flying, she always says!

Aang is still kind of angry and frustrated and stuff.

But mostly, Aang is tired.

He comes in anyway, finishing munching on a candy. Just because the Avatar is angsty doesn't mean he can't enjoy his treats.

...................candy.

Zuko siddles over.

Share. Even princes kings presidents chairmen paperpushers Zuko needs candy.

Aang peeks to the side. Oh noes, a Zuko!

He offers a candy from his little box of goodies to him. Here, you'll need these, buddy.

Zuko is grateful! He gves a small smile, and says, "Thank you," in the most dignified manner he can before savoring CANDY.

... what, like Mr. Repression couldn't have a well contained inner child?

Munch enters the room, nodding once to Zuko before finding a place to sit. A cursory glance around the room shows that Monk's not there yet.

Munch hopes he doesn't have to go track the other detective down again.

Zuko gives a small nod-- pleasant enough acknowledgement, but he is a little distracted.

Irene still feels new, but war, that's her business.

She walks in quietly, sword in tow, careful as always not to bump into anyone.

Zuko eyes the sword. "I don't think you'll need that here."

Then again, considering the last meeting? Maybe she will.

"People sometimes don't take me seriously without it."

She cracks a smile.

"Which, I can see why, considering I look more like a poster child for childhood leukemia than a soldier."

Zuko shrugs. "I was already called 'not-so-pretty-boy' today, so," he shrugs-- eh, looks are mattering less and less as days go by.

And Anakin just kinda walks in and looks for an empty chair to sit in. He doesn't know that he's uninvited, and he really doesn't care all that much.

He did make short work of those two...things the other night, after all.

"You're new, aren't you?"

Not the best greeting to get, Anakin.

Anakin picks up on that, and you get a nice, dirty look shot Zuko's way. "Yeah." You know, he's had a chip on his shoulder all his life being that slave boy from Tatooine who's supposed to save the galaxy...he doesn't take well being talked down to.

Get used to it.

"I'm Zuko -- and normally, would like to speak to you about your place here. But I'm afraid this is for established watchmen and hunters only," he says without rancor or irritation. "Give it time and prove yourself, and you'll be in here arguing with the rest of us."

That means, you go back out the door, and work your way up, Anakin. Isn't it nice to be low man on the totem pole?
