"Hey, Red," low, husky voice aimed over her shoulder. Brush of darker red curls across the side of her head.

"Readin' anythin' interestin'?"

"Mmmm." The book is tilted, just slightly. The Chinese characters won't be at all intelligible to the other redhead, but the detailed illustration beneath it should do nicely.

"More or less."

"Hmm." Beath hot across the side of her cheek.

"I really should ask you to teach me to read Mandarin as well as speak, huh?"

"Ugh, I'd rather you didn't," says the irritated redhead, wrinkling her nose as she sets the book on her knees to look up at Delia. "Speaking is hard enough - teaching someone all three-thousand characters is a job for Biff, not me."
