The smell reminds Irene of someone that she's trying very hard not to remember. She goes straight for it.

Contrary to interests, nothing. If certain people are here, especially certain people from Irene's world, she would like to know before he certain people do.

Fortunately (is it?) for Irene, the person with the guns is not him certain people.

Lara looked up and smiled at the new face. "Hello. Is this bothering you? I wasn't certain where to do it but in my room."

The new face has very little hair, large green eyes, and just-barely-there eybrows. They're growing back in.

"I'm Irene. Are you new?"

"Pleasure to meet you, Irene. I'm Lara, and yes, quite new. I'm just getting acquainted with some of the residents and the layout a bit, but I understand I'll be put to work soon," she said conversationally. She considered for a moment how to invite her in without actually inviting her in...just in case.

"I have a chair," she said, nodding toward it.
