They're gone.

There's nothing to hunt.

Angua clears the wall in one easy leap, scrambling on the tarmac and making a beeline for her window. She noses it open and jumps through in to her bedroom.

No inclination to see anyone. She's hungry.

In Daffodil's world, wolves are scary. Very scary. Ravening beasts that eat children for fun.

Daffodil had crawled into Angua's bed, even though she wasn't there, having been unable to sleep.

When suddenly there's a wolf in the room with her? She shrieks.

There's a child (Daffodil) in the room.

A screaming child (Daffodil is scared) in the room.

The place reeks of fear (Daffodil is scared of her).

Angua turns tail and leaps out of the window in a terrified and distressed yellow blur.

Kaylee's been working on some of the parts for the ship Mal wanted her to build. It's not going well: they just don't have the fuel to bring a ship out of atmo, and until they have fuel, she doesn't know what sort of engine they'll need and really, she's just been tinkering around, trying to keep things going and relax.

And then there's a shriek from Angua's room and she's standing at the entrance to the engineering alcove, staring out worriedly.

Someone else will hear that and fix it, right?

A shriek, the becomes a scream, and a yell of "Angua!"

Silence for a moment, broken by slightly hysterical sobbing. Anua's not there, Daffodil knows this.

The first person who comes to mind next is Kaylee, and there is a slightly quieter call, now tear-ridden.

"Kaylee?"

And where is a safer place but Hellboy's?

Currently reading (for there's little else to do other then make stakes, read books in Chinese, and sleep) he lounges on the couch, feet up, tail curling over the edge of the couch. It's a leisurely thing. Just-- hangin' out.

She doesn't even stop to think where she's going. All she cares about is away. From that unsafe place of screeching child and terror. From the distrust and the pain that she caused - she's a bad dog.

And just as the act of fleeing is instinctual, so is the where of the fleeing. To him. So then his leisurely hanging out time is disrupted by a golden blur rocketing through his window.

You know, you have a good night, you leave the windows open so the place doesn't smell like smoke...

And you get invaded. Least it's not Harth.

Hellboy sits up, brows furrowing. "The hell is going on here?" he asks, though he's not cross. "Angua?"

She skids on the floor as she lands, spins around to face him, paws skidding over the carpet.

Her tail's down, her ears are flat against her head, and she's very very clearly distressed.

For a second she hunkers down, almost snarling up at him. Then she rather suddenly relaxes, letting things go with a whimper.
